Dear Friends and Family,

I would like to Thank you all so much for the support and encouragement that was shown to me as I began to pursue photography as more than just a hobby and build a sucessful business! I am so pleased to announce that my husband, Richard will be joining me as we build this company even more! We will now be shooting special events (including weddings!!! which I know I swore I wouldn't do)! In celebration of this big move, we have taken on a whole new identity.

So, it is with great pleasure that I announce the arrival of 519 Photography. The name 519, or Five Nineteen, is a very special date for us...it is our perfectly sassy 16 month old daughter's birthdate. She is our inspiration, our soul and the love of our lives. 519 Photography is a natural light photography company specializing in all stages of life. We are available for Maternity, Newborn, Baby, and Children sessions, unique Senior Portraits, Engagement Sessions and Family Portraits. Please check us out at www.519Photography.com. She's 16 Months!!!

My sassyfrassy baby girl is 16 months today! She's saying (among other things)...hot dog, shoes on and get down. She loves it when Dad 'pop' his mouth with his finger or shakes his face so his checks slap...so she walks up to people and shakes her face or sticks her finger in her mouth and pulls it out...to get them to do 'daddy's tricks'!!! She says "hi" to everyone...EVERYONE! Thanks to Phil :) she also gives high fives and shows who's #1 (not the gamecocks)!

She went to uncle bradley's football game last night and LOVED it...she was yelling and cheering along with everyone else...and sadly, imitating the cheerleaders the entire time(No offense, but she's not gonna be a cheerleader if I have any say)! Actually, I think she was in heaven...a place where everyone screams and claps..what could be better than that to my little one??!!!!

This gorgeous little one was 6 weeks old on Saturday....which was also her due date! She decided to make her appearance a little early...to grace her family with her perfection! This weekend MW Photography had the unique opportunity of being a part of the photography team shooting a wedding (unique for us, since we don't normally shoot weddings). Richard photographed the wedding and I edited the images. I have been friends with Nichole for many years and she is one of the greatest souls I will ever know. After I met & married my husband Richard, Nichole was so impressed with his spirit and heart...that she told me she was going to 'hold out for her Richard'...and she did....literally, so it is with incredible joy (and laughter at the irony) that I share with you pictures of the wedding of Gabe & Nichole Richard!!!!!

Raleigh is 15 months this week! I can't believe how quickly she's growing up. She is running around like a mad woman, imitating everything and just soaking it all up! She is learning new words (and I'm learning to watch my mouth). We're having tantrums and ignoring mom...fun stuff! I'm sorry to all my loyal blog readers...I've been so bad lately about updating!!!! I'm not making excuses or pointing fingers....but SOMEONE (possibly the dirty little cutie pie pictured below wearing her aunt liz's prom queen tiara) has been throwing themselves whole heartedly into toddlerhood!!!! I've been quite busy reading books, articles and anything else I can get my hands on to help me figure out how to parent my fiesty little person :)!!! It's a good thing she's so stinkin cute!!!

Home from "vacation"

As of Monday morning I'll be out of town! I'm headed to Tybee Island for a couple days!!! This will be Raleigh's first trip to the ocean...I am so excited! I grew up on the beach in Florida and to me...the beach will always be home!

Tell me this is not a fabulous love story: Natalia just moved here from Columbia to be with Gabriel. They dated 10 years ago, back home in Columbia, for a couple months...and Gabriel broke her heart. She found him 10 years later, on Facebook. They fell in love all over again...and here they are!!!! Fabulous, right? Playtime at the Park

Yesterday we had a suprise visit from Aunt Mary Katherine, since Raleigh was cooped up most of last week being sick...we decided to take her up to the park for some playtime! She had so much fun!

My Baby Girl is Sick

We have been so blessed. Raleigh was born 5 weeks early and was completely healthy then and has been pretty healthy ever since. She's always had a hard time with teething...she's been pretty miserable with it the last month or so. So, on Sunday when she was coughing a little...I thought it was congestion from the teething runny nose. Monday morning she woke up with a fever and a barking cough. I took her to the doctor and found out she has croup :(. It has been a scary experience...since it effects her breathing. She's been so sweet though. Her pale skin and wheezing breath had me up with her all night. Yesterday I took her back in and they did a breathing treatment in office and sent us home with a nebulizer. She was a little traumatized by the first treatment, so when we came home with it I let her check it out a little...though she doesn't like it, she's doing better with it. Hopefully she'll be good as new soon!!! -M

Raleigh's 1st Birthday Party

I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books.
When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and subtract in your head.
I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush on a boy..girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what ivory soap tastes like.
May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove and stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole.
I don't care if you try a beer once, but I hope you don't like it.. And if a friend offers you dope or a joint, I hope you realize he is not your friend.
I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandma/Grandpa and go fishing with your Uncle.
May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays.
I hope your mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through your neighbor's window and that she hugs you and kisses you at Hannukah/Christmas time when you give her a plaster mold of your hand.

This morning I had the opportunity to photograph Alle and her gorgeous pregnant belly! Her daughter Lucy joined us for the shoot and is definately looking forward to the arrival of her little sister! Alle is due any minute, so I am so honored I was able to capture these pictures for her!

Raleigh was scheduled to begin swim classes yesterday at our local YMCA. Unfortunately, the class was cancelled...Fortunately, there is a fabulous little Gelato place across the street! We decided to go get a treat with our friends instead!When I saw the gorgeous benches I had to take advantage and grab a couple shots!

I'll definately be heading back there...for more Gelato and more photo shoots :)

Jack's 1st Birthday

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph a 1st birthday party for a friend's son. He and Raleigh are playgroup buddies! The party was beautiful, the house filled with friends and the cake was awesome!!

The Birthday boy was very handsome and had a great time scooting around with his friends and openning gifts.

The littles guests had a great time playing!!

Raleigh had a great time at your party too, she just looks super serious here :), Thanks for sharing your toys :)

Raleigh's friend, Grace, has the greatest crazy hair ever...I love it...I've been trying to get a picture of it that captured the true crazy whispyness of it...and I think I finally did!!
